Ode to the Oscars Part 2

Could anything be more dramatic than chunky chandelier earrings? At the Oscars,  we saw a lot of actresses donning them, mostly complementing their elegant evening gowns. While there may be no absolute rule when it comes to accessorizing with jewelry,  a pair of chandelier earrings would normally be enough to complete a woman's total look. As a tribute to the Oscars, here is a pair of versatile chunky danglers in Garnets, Pink Tourmalines, London Topaz and diamonds set in Pink Gold which could go well with the basic little black dress or with a Mestiza Terno for the next Oscars Hijos de Davao.

The Pen is mightier than the Sword

This age-old adage holds true especially when one writes with a diamond encrusted S.T. Dupont Classique ball point pen. A French company, S.T. Dupont builds its pens with 135 years of experience and expertise. Each pen has its own identification number engraved on its clip making each one unique. And just like jewelry, the creation of a single S.T. Dupont Pen is a product of hours of skill and craftmanship making it a piece of art.  G color VVS diamonds were carefully set on the clip too.

Ode to the Oscars Part 1

Jewelry is the punctuation mark of any dress wether rugged, casual or formal. Jewelry, when worn appropriately, highlights a woman's total beauty including her wardrobe. At the recent Academy Awards, we saw not only fabulous dresses but magnificent jewelry as well. As a tribute to the beautiful women at the Oscars,  I would like to share with you our pair of elegant huge earrings in Aquamarines, rose cut fancy shaped natural white Sapphires and Diamonds. What I love about this pair is the very subtle blue tint of the Aquamarines. Although it may take a special lady to pull this one off, this pair can go very well with any of the dresses the Hollywood glitterati wore. And yes, congratulations Meryl Streep!

He wants to go Green

When a client asked us to design a ring with a green center stone EXCEPT Jade,  we knew it just had to be Emerald.  Designing the ring proved to be hard as it had to be soft yet masculine, it had to be grand but not too D-O-M-ish.  Setting the stones were even trickier as Emeralds are one of the most delicate stones in the planet.  Let me share with you the final product:  a 6ct. Mozambique Emerald with Diamonds and Emerald Princess Cuts.  Needless to say, the client went home, a very happy man.

Sophie and Sonia's Favorite Colors

Sophie and Sonia love pink.  They also love red.  And both love jewelry just like their Lola Emilia.  When we were preparing our Sophie et Sonia Collection,  we knew we had to have those colors.  In this piece, a huge inspiration, apart from their favorite colors, were Sophie's flower and balloon drawings.  So we threw in a huge 25cts. Milky Pink Quartz cabochon, Red Spinels and Diamonds.  The result is an amazing statement flower ring which is convertible to pendant.

A Jade of a Dragon

In our most recent travel, I chanced upon this carved dragon head ring which caught my attention.  It felt like it was calling me to get it.  And so I heeded the call.  Being a dog in the dragon year (not too good if we believe the geomancers), I had to find my own dragon friend.  And what better friend can I have than a dragon I could depend on everyday,  apart from being one of the coolest rings we ever had.

She wears Emilia's

ECM, Davao's Pastry Queen, + Diamond Jewelry = Dolce Vita.  Ah, the sweet life.

More Cameo Love

Our love story with Cameos continues. In this piece, we took 2 Helmet Shell Cameos and 2 Blue Agate Cameos, set them with yellow, yellow orange and orange sapphires and made them into lovely bracelet charms. Beautiful, classy and modern.

Sophie et Sonia Collection

When we design, we draw our inspiration from a lot of things.  It could be nature, color, animals and what have you.  But in our latest collection,  we drew our great inspiration from our family's little angels, Sophie and Sonia, who have brought so much color and happiness in our lives. We took in consideration their laughter, tears, and activities. As we celebrate the wonderful colors of life,  we bring to you the Sophie et Sonia Collection.  Now on display at Emilia's Jewelry at the Abreeza Mall.

Pearls and Cameo Love

Inspired by the Maharaja's jewelry,  my sister  Eileen designed this Pearl and Cameo statement necklace. It took us about 2 months to source out all the Cameo's as we needed specific designs and sizes and more than 3 months to finish this piece as everything is done by hand including the gold settings, filigrees and pearl re-stranding.  Let me share with you this jewelry which is a lovely work of art.

And this is how our good friend MST wore it.
